Literacy & Evangelism International will host a one-day Christian Literacy Conference in Makeni, the provincial headquarters of the Northern Province on 2010 World Literacy Day. The predominant language in the North is Temne (Themne) and the North is also Muslim dominated.

International Literacy Training Institute 2011

Literacy & Evangelism International will host an International Literacy Training Institute on 9-21 May 2011 in Monrovia, Liberia, West Africa to train Christian Literacy teachers. 2010 ILTI PARTICIPANTS FROM WEST AFRICA WITH WEST AFRICA DIRECTOR

Four participants came from Nigeria, Ghana and Cote d'Ivoire came to attend the 2010 International Literacy Training Institute in Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA. Rev. Gregory Bangura is currently the West Africa director for Literacy & Evangelism International. He encouraged them to put the training they have come to receive in use for the benefit of their churches, communities and the sub-region. Rev. Bangura graduated from the Institute 2006.
