25 PARTICIPANTS GRADUATED FROM THE COTE D'IVOIRE-ILTI

25 participants received certificates for successfully attending the International Literacy Training Institute held in Abidjan, Cote d'Ivoire on 11-23 May 2009. The participants came from Benin, Burkina Faso, Cote d'Ivoire, Ghana, Liberia, Nigeria, Sierra Leone and Togo.

LEI LITERACY CONSULTANT RECEIVES CERTIFICATE

Brother Daniel Awolou yesterday received a certificate as LEI West Africa Literacy Consultant. Daniel has constructed several primers including Fulani. He is a national missionary based in Benin with his family. Rev. Sid Rice, executive director for Literacy & Evangelism International presented the certificate.

Agnes Bangura is preparing the welcome packages with one her women, Viviane Kponnou for the participants of the first International Literacy Training Institute (ILTI) to be held in a French speaking West African nation. Agnes attended the International Literacy Training Institute in Accra, Ghana and Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA.

Literacy & Evangelism International has written the primer in the Fulani language to enable the Fulani believers read the translated Bible in their mother-language. The Fulani tribal group lives in Guinea, Burkina Faso, Mali, Niger, Senegal and Benin. They spread Islam throughout out West Africa. International Literacy Training Institute 2009 Begins Soon

Literacy & Evangelism International, in partnership with Rabboni Missions International will host an International Literacy Training Institute in Abidjan, Cote d'Ivoire to train literacy workers across Africa. The training will begin on Monday, 11 May and end on Saturday, 23 May.
